How to make a caterpillar mask?

Time to create your own caterpillar mask by using something as simple as a paper plate! Not only can you wear it as a mask but you can also place it in your room walls for you to flaunt in front of your friends. This mask is so easy that you can teach them as well!

Items that you need to make the caterpillar mask:

  • 1 paper plate
  • your favourite colour paint and paint brush (pssst.. we suggest red or orange)
  •  black marker pen
  • brown or black foam board
  •  hat elastic
  • glue
  • scissors
  •  green thick sugar paper
  • yellow thick sugar paper

Step 1:

For the main body of the caterpillar:

Take the paper plate and paint the back side of this paint using a paint brush with red or orange colour. 

Step 2:

For the eyes of the caterpillar:

Take the yellow thick sugar paper and cut it into oval shapes which is about 2-3 cm in height. Take the green thick sugar paper and cut it into similar oval shapes in about 1.5 cm height. 

Step 3:

As soon as the paint on the back side of the paper plate is dry, stick the yellow thick sugar papers oval eyes. On top of it stick the green one. 

Step 4:

Take the black marker pen and draw a small circle on the plate to represent the mouth.

Step 5:

Take the brown or black foam board and cut it into the shape of antenna and stick it on top of the caterpillars head.

Step 6:

Take the hat elastic and fix it around the back of the plate and your mask it ready!
